Buffalo City Football Club is looking for a college student to participate in our Event coordinator Internship. This internship was designed to give college students the opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain firsthand experience in the professional sports and event planning industry. During the twelve week program, participants will be supervised by the Football Operations Officer for Buffalo City FC and will learn all aspects of the coordination and administration of sports marketing, event planning, ticket sales, customer service, and game day operations. Interns will also have the opportunity to earn college credit for their time and efforts.  (Note: Game day operations only take place during the summer session)

Job Duties

• Assist Football Operations Officer with daily operations and events.
• Help with club publicity events.
• Assisting with daily correspondence to Buffalo City FC and All-High Stadium guests.
• Delivering superior customer service and exceeding fan expectations.
• Assisting in planning and implementing special marketing events and promotions.
• Assisting with ticket sales activities and events; including receptions and game day entertainment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Background in sales, marketing, business, customer service, event planning or communications is encouraged.
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Detail oriented and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment
• Excellent people skills with the ability to interact effectively with all types of people, including staff and management, professional and elite athletes, members of the media, senior government officials and corporate representatives.
• Creative and outgoing self-starter
