Buffalo City FC is currently looking for a Merchandising Intern to assist the Football Operations Officer and Official Team Photographer as we develop merchandise for sale on the Buffalo City FC website and also throughout various locations.  All internships with Buffalo City FC are unpaid internships.  This internship is ideal for any candidate who is interested in pursuing a career in marketing or sales in the sports industry. Buffalo City FC internships will be 20-30 hours a week. Start dates and hours can be flexible to work around work and school schedules.

Job Duties:

• Contribute to brainstorming, planning and implementation of merchandise promotion including Christmas, Game-Day and seasonal merchandise.
• Involvement in facilitating design and idea talks with designers.
• Using online resources to research what merchandise trends are current in soccer.
• Working directly with sales account executives to generate sales and revenue
• Assisting with ticket sales activities and game day entertainment at Pizza Hut Park
• Design email blasts and campaigns that invite more merchandise sales.
• Database management and some light administrative duties to include filing, copying and assisting with mass mailings.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge and Interest in the game of soccer with a strong desire to work in the soccer environment.
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment
• Creative and outgoing self-starter
• Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office
• Background in sales, marketing, business, customer service or communications is encouraged.
