Buffalo City FC is currently looking for college students to participate in a Sales and Grassroots Marketing internship. The intern(s) will work directly with the Football Operations Officer and his executives assisting with marketing, selling and researching future and existing ticket sales programs. All internships with Buffalo City FC are unpaid internships.   This internship is ideal for any candidate who is interested in pursuing a career in sports management and sales.. Buffalo City FC internships will be 20-30 hours a week. Start dates and hours can be flexible to work around work and school schedules.
 

Job Duties:

• Contribute to brainstorming, planning and implementation of promotion of free-tickets program to the general public.
• Using online resources to research prospecting clients for Youth soccer sales
• Assisting in planning, organizing, managing and set up/tear down for special events and promotions such as youth soccer clinics, coaches meetings, and on site marketing.
• Working directly with sales account executives to generate sales and revenue
• Assisting with ticket sales activities and game day entertainment at Pizza Hut Park
• Make follow up phone calls to potential prospects and redirect to Account Executives
• Database management and some light administrative duties to include filing, copying and assisting with mass mailings.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge and Interest in the game of soccer with a strong desire to work in the soccer environment.
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment
• Creative and outgoing self-starter
• Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office
• Background in sales, marketing, business, customer service or communications is encouraged.

Qualifications:

• Must be an active college student
• Must received college credit for participating in our Internship program
• Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
