Share Agrees A One Year Deal As Director Of Football With Buffalo

(Buffalo, NY) - Buffalo City Football Club is pleased to announce that Mike Share our former Head Coach has accepted with the permission of his current Spanish club Atletico Andalucia CF the position of Director of Football at the club.

Buffalo City FC exercised their option on Share which was one of the terms for Share's early release as Buffalo City FC's Head Coach.

Share's appointment comes at the same time as Buffalo's Head of Operations Director Andrew Moore.
Both Moore and Share will work closely together taking the club forward into the new Pro-League.

Share agreed a one year contract as Director of Football and still be a crucial part of Buffalo City FC's future plans and development.

In the 2009 Season Mike Share achieved second place in the National Keystone Conference with Buffalo. Share led Buffalo to 10 victories out of 12, giving Share a impressive 83% win percentage.

Share said that he would be open to come back as Buffalo's Head Coach in the off-season. If things could be agreed with his current club Atletico Andalucia CF and if would not have any negative effect on his work with the Spanish club.

Share commented on his new position at the club "I pleased to still be involved with the club as it is always hard to leave a club especially when you have very fond memories. I have heard some people do not understand how my new position will work with me being at a new club in Spain. To be honest I know that this will not be an issue nor will it effect what I am doing in Spain or the quality of work that I will provide to Buffalo. I look forward to continue to help Buffalo move forward'

One of Mike's first tasks will be identifying players for the club. Share commented on his first task "I feel very confident that we can keep a large base of last season's players. We had a very good footballing side and if the new head coach can add some more aggressive players to his squad then I am sure the club will not be far off achieving their goals and continuing to play in the manner we did last year."

Share went on to say "My first task actually works out great for my current club in Spain. As one of my early release terms as Buffalo's Head Coach was that both Atletico Andalucia CF and Buffalo City FC have formed a partnership. So any good player that signs for Buffalo City FC and that has an successful season will have the opportunity to go to Spain. With the American season running differently than the European season it really works out perfectly for both clubs. I am sure that this is just one of many benefits that both clubs will have with the partnership"

Buffalo City Football Club is Buffalo's premier soccer organization since 2008. Combining a winning tradition on the pitch with a standard of excellence within the community, BCFC remains the height of achievement in professionally run sport.
