(Buffalo, NY) - Buffalo City FC is disappointed to announce that Buffalo's Head Coach Mike Share has resigned from his position as Player - Head Coach.
Mike Share will join newly formed Spanish Club Atletico Andalucia CF. Buffalo would like to stress that we are working hard to secure some sort of deal to keep Share at the club in another capacity wether it will be as an advisor or a combined role to finish his 2 year contract as Head Coach in the European off season.
Coach Share said "Sadly this week I have come to the decision that I will not be able to continue as the Head Coach of Buffalo City FC. I would like to thank everyone at the club that has made me feel at home especially the fans who have shown great support. I wish that the season could have ended with us brining back the National Championship, but we came a couple of steps short. The time that I have had at the club, I could not ask any more from the players. They have given me 100% and I am sure we will see several more players play in Europe.
Share went on to say "Although I am sad to leave Buffalo City FC I feel that the club has progressed under my guidance and that it will be in great shape for next season. The club and myself are currently working to see if there is anyway for me to still be able to help the club in another capacity that will not interfere with my new position at Atletico Andalucia CF. I am very excited to be heading back to Spain and have high hopes to take Atletico Andalucia CF as far as I can as an coach and player. We have a 5 year plan and I am extremely confident that we can achieve all of our goal."
Buffalo City FC would like to thank Share for his time with the club and wish him well as the new Player-Head Coach at Spanish Club Atletico Andalucia CF.
The club will hopefully soon be able to announce the new Head Coach for the 2010 season. To apply for the Head Coach position please send your application to: info@buffalocityfc.com
