 (Buffalo, NY)--- Buffalo City Football Club is pleased to announce that 16 year old Pelayo Gomez, a Buffalo City FC's official youth academy AFA Marbella player in Spain, has signed Professional for English League 2 club Brentford City FC. Gomeza signed on a two year deal with the English club which will start in June.
Brentford City FC is a well respected club in England and were founded in 1889, the club plays at the famous Griffin Park Stadium which has a capacity of 12,763. The club have played at Griffin Park since 1904.
Pelayo Gomez has great potential to become a big star in the UK. He joined AFA Marbella as a 12 year old. Since then the club has nurtured Gomez and maximised the player's ability to allow him the opportunity to play at the highest possible level. Gomez previousy has been on trials for Rushden and Diamonds prior to Christmas and has since successfully been offered a 2 year contract with the London Club Brentford FC.
 "I have personally assisted Pelayo in his move to Brentford and honestly believe if he can adjust to life in London he can go on and be one of the best Spanish players in the Premier Leagues on Europe" said Buffalo City FC's European Scout Adviser Craig Mander.
"The progress of AFA on and off the pitch has been something that I have worked on tirelessly this season." said Mander. “ I am delighted to see the blood, sweat and tears are starting to pay off, as AFA is now regarded as the best Academy in southern Europe" Mander went on to say "All of the Staff at AFA would like to wish Buffalo City FC's Head Coach Mike Share all the best ahead of his first season with the club, and would like to help him for his assistance throughout our season. We all hope we can be of assistance to him too as he takes on his new role."
Gomez will also feature for Buffalo City FC in the NPSL this season before joining up in the Summer with Brentford City FC in England.
As well as Gomez coming State Side this season, Buffalo City FC's Official Youth Academy AFA Marbella will come to Buffalo taking several of their teams to show the talent they have been producing for the last 5 years.
Buffalo City FC's Player Head Coach Mike Share said " We are delighted that Gomez will be playing for Brentford City FC next season, I am sure he will do and progress to become a very good player." Share went on to say "Last December when I did several sessions for Gomez and AFA we worked on things that needed to change, this was not going to be easy, Gomez securing a deal at Brentford is a credit to Craig Mander and his Staff that have prepared Gomez well and correctly."
