(Buffalo, NY)---While most college students were busy taking a break during the Christmas downtime, a select few were pushing themselves to the limit as Buffalo City FC held their first trial at Sahlens Sports Park on January 6th and 7th.
Players who attended the trial represented many different colleges, including University at Buffalo, Canisius, Geneseo, Binghampton, RIT and Gannon.
After a brief introduction from the front office staff, the 28 invites became the first to don the Buffalo City FC Diadora practice kits and take the pitch wearing the Buffalo City FC badge.
The trials were specifically designed by Head Coach Mike Share to test players skills and fitness, as well as to see what each player was capable of bringing to Buffalo City FC. This was also the first time that Coach Share was able to see the soccer talent that Buffalo has to offer, and overall it was a good first impression.
Buffalo City FC would like to thank all of the players who came out for the trial and put in 110%. The club will be holding several more invite only trials shortly, and also will hold a 'open' tryout in which everyone who wishes to try out for the club is able.
Check back here for more information on the trials and also to see the first signings for the 2009 NPSL Men's Team.
